Here are a few highlights of Dr. Breaux's first term as a board member.

Approved the highest raise for teachers and staff in Alief history.

Served as an educational expert resource for several state senators and representatives during the legislative sessions.

Provided witness testimony before the Senate Committee on Education.

Taken over 184 hours of school board training.

Focused on early literacy with the approval of 3 early childhood centers and expansion of other stand alone early childhood programs throughout the district.

Supported the opening of the Mandarin Chinese immersion program.

Supported board members in data discussions which led to data-informed decision making.

Represented Alief ISD at the TASB Delegate Assembly (2 years).

Represented Alief ISD in Washington DC at the TASB Advocacy Institute.

Served as chair of the Alief ISD Policy Committee (3 years).

Named school board member of the year 2020 and 2021.
